Celebrate the Small Things

Yay!  It's time for Viclit's Celebrate the Small Things
I woke up in a great mood, if you haven't guessed that yet :)  Here are a few things that I am celebrating today:
  • I'm having Pioneer Woman's Sweet Cinnamon Scones for breakfast.  They are so fun to make and are absolutely delicious.  They are the perfect thing to make the house smell like fall.
  • I have a sweet two year old sitting in my lap (eating my scone... so I guess I  have a built in diet plan...)
  • I learned that my daughter likes practicing her letters if she is writing a princess story or long, complicated princess names. We weren't making very good progress until I made this discovery so I am  pleased.
  • I ran over a mile without having to slow down!  It may not be very far but its progress!
  • I have come up with a new blog schedule that will give me a set day to post my flash fiction/creative endeavors.  I will be announcing it soon.
  • Oh, and one more.  It's FRIDAY!!!  (In our house that means its pizza/movie night!)

  1. Hey, if I could run a mile, period, I'd be on cloud nine. (Darn exercise-induced asthma.) Super awesomesauce!

    1. They are worth making, that's for sure! Its hard to remember not to compare myself to my friends who have been running 5k's but a mile is so much better than I was doing before :)

  10. A mile is awesome! I only know that I can run beyond my front door or if I'm being chased. Had Oatmeal cookies today, not scones but still delicious. Enjoy the baby and the weekend.

  11. Hi, Sarah. I'm working on my Feedly folders. Just popping in to say hi.

I have two pre-teens and one teen who vacuum up every last morsel in the kitchen. That's my diet plan, whether I like it or not. LOL

  13. Um, WOW. So much awesomeness! I love that you're getting a blog post schedule together. I keep thinking that I need to do that for my personal blog ... but then I chicken out. :) I'll keep an eye out for yours - perhaps it will inspire me.

Kudos on running a mile, too! When I first started running, a mile felt like an eternity. By the time I finally managed to survive a FULL mile I was so amazed with myself. What a great feeling! You should definitely be proud. I hope some celebrating was involved! :)

    1. I'm hoping that just a tad more structure will free up my imagination to do some fun posts ( if that makes sense at all lol). I'm hoping to reveal the new schedule later this week but it depends on how this cold treats me...
It is a good feeling to reach a mile. It still feels like a long way but hopefully not for long.
