I'm full of tiny celebrations today!
- My six year old has fallen in love with making paper airplanes. It keeps him (and Daddy!) happy for hours.
- My husband is getting a daytime shift at work! After a year of working the swing shift proceeded by a year where he was on an unaccompanied remote tour, I am thrilled. We might get to eat dinner as a family on a regular basis. Yay!
- I found a second hand set of building blocks and a dump truck for $5. It should help my very bored two year old sit still while his fracture continues to heal. I hope...
- Its not raining! It has been raining for weeks.
- I am finally moving forward on my WIP. I wrote 52k last month and this month I've done about 4k... but I've worked through the place that was hanging me up.
Good job, Sarah! So glad you have those great things to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Thanks! I hope that you had a great weekend too :)
DeleteSo happy hubby gets to work days. I don't know what I would do if my hubby had to work nights. Also sorry for your son and I hope the blocks and trucks work. Have you ever put play dough inside a balloon? it makes a fun little squeeze toy. If you draw a smiley face on with a sharpie they have a fun companion they can mold.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try the balloon idea. I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for sharing! The truck and blocks have kept him happy for an hour or so each day this weekend so I'd say that was a success!
DeleteJust celebrating life. That i'm standing, and have stuff to do.
ReplyDeleteLife is a worthy celebration.
DeleteSo happy you might get regular dinners as a family, that's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI am very excited about it! I think that not having dinner as a family was the one thing I despised most about the old schedule.
