Inspiration and a Giveaway

Rebellious Heart by Jody Hedlund      Every once in awhile I finish reading a book that is so amazing that I run straight to my computer and check out the author's website.  Typically I find information about the author such as what books he/she has written and a few facts about their life.  When I went to Jody Hedlund's page I found what I was hoping for.  I found a wealth of information on writing. I'm not sure how many times I've gone to her blog or her list of resources for writers.  It's been a lot....  I go there whenever I am in need of encouragement.
One of the things that encourages me the most about Jody is that , like myself,  she home schools her children. I love homeschooling but the combination of it and writing sometimes makes my heart sink and my head spin. Seeing someone that successfully balances both is so inspiring.  Another thing that inspires me is her faith.  It is evident in everything she does.
Her latest book, Rebellious Heart, is coming out later this month and I am part of her "street team". I am also apart of a giveaway (you could win a copy of Rebellious Heart!).  I hope that you will enter at the bottom of this post!  I am reading it right now and so far I am loving it.  I should have a review up soon!

  1. I'm inspired by many writers. I like following Jody on Pinterest and repin many of her inspirational pins. I've read her first two books and have her third on my to-be-read stack. Would love to win her latest release!

  2. Kathi Macias is one of the most inspiring authors I know. I mean, sure I am inspired by MANY authors, but Kathi inspires me to action. Doing for others and helping those in need not just looking out for myself -- very inspiring. Of course, I loved Jody's book Unending Devotion -- goes right along with Kathi's books on human trafficking.

  8. There are many authors I find inspiring. One blog I enjoy reading is Writes of Passage; several authors take turns writing each day.
I've enjoyed several of Jody's books (the rest are on my want-to-read list). It would be wonderful to win a copy of Rebellious Heart.
    Thanks for the chance.

  9. Anyone who can balance home schooling with writing, well, my hat is off to her. Around here, it didn't feel like there was much balance at all during those home school years.

  13. I just can't wait to read Rebellious Heart! I finished A Noble Groom about a month ago and was so sad when it was over! I was sent on a scramble to read all Jody's books after reading The Doctor's Lady. Between my mom, sister and friends we've been passing around her books like crazy, it's been fun.
