Almost Summer

I do not want to be inside right now.  I have the stroller posed by the door and my older children's scooters are lined up,ready to go. As soon as the little ones are up from nap we are taking off and walking until we are so tired that being inside sounds pleasant again.  My oldest son is at the table working on his writing practice.  It is so peaceful.  I love spring and its promise that warm (hot) lazy days are on the way.
Today is one of those days that I don't want to end.  It's sunny with the perfect amount of breeze. All the errands for the day are done.  School is winding down so we only have a small amount of assignments to complete.  I love homeschooling my kids but I am ready for a break from lesson plans. I'm looking forward to spending our time at the beach or walking down by the bay.  Our garden is starting to grow so we should have fresh herbs soon. I can not wait!

  1. It's time to let them outside, to learn from the adventures they have, and from the world around them. Enjoy!

  2. It feels as if it's been raining for three months here. The opportunities to take my kids outside have been few and far between. I'm salivating with envy.

    1. Aw. I hope that the sun comes out soon. We've had months of rain before and they are rough on little people.

  5. I hope you had a wonderful day with your children. We are having nice warm weather here, which is amazing since we barely had a summer last year. One of my good friends homeschools and she is just as ready as you are to have a break. My son is about to graduate from High School, so I am not as excited for school to end :)

  6. Spring is in the air here, too. We have to enjoy it while it last, because summer will soon be here with it's gloom and fog. On the up side: once school is out, we are free to travel, and take our boys outside for days and weeks at a time! I'm more than ready, even if it does mean that my writing will probably get put on hold.

  7. We're really excited for summer too, and are spending more and more time outside each day . . .even doing our lessons outside.

  8. Sounds like a great day! I just planted my garden last weekend, but it won't be ready for at least another month. I can't wait.
