Blog Award

 I was recently nominated for a Liebster award!  (I've been nominated for 3 awards in the past month!  Which is amazing but time consuming.)
Here are the rules-

1. Why did you start your blog? Because I wanted to get serious about my writing and I need a starting place.
2. Are you going to participate in the A-Z writing challenge in April? Why or why not?Yes! Which is why I am so late getting back to this award.  I decided to do it because I thought it would be great for my writing to come up with something new every day.
3. Enough about writing, we talk about that all the time... let's get to know you! What was the very last thing you ate?a piece of boneless buffalo chicken :)
4.  How many pairs of shoes do you own? I don't know.  I live in my sandals or running shoes(or bare feet!) but I have several pairs lurking in my closet.
5. What book are you currently reading? Tiger's Voyage, Code Name Verity, Clockwork Princess and a handful of review books, oh and a few books on revising
6.  What is your least favorite thing about yourself? I constantly stress myself out about trivial stuff.
7.  What is your favorite thing about yourself? My sense of adventure.  Its keeps life exciting.
8. What are your thoughts on happy endings? They are real.
9.  What was the last movie you watched? Did you like it? Breaking Dawn, part 2.  I hated it.
10. 
    What is the farthest you've ever been from home?  I guess that depends on where I call home...  I've lived in pretty much all of the places I have been.  Most recently was the move from Montana to Florida.  
11.  Do you have any odd or special talents? I am amazing at balancing a spoon on my nose.  

 

1. I love to play my mountain dulcimer.
2. I seldom read just one book at a time.  Right now I think I have 5 going.
3. I can't stand canned tuna fish.
4. Jackaroo by Cynthia Voight inspired me to write YA.  I read that book so many times growing up.
5. I used to act out "Swiss Family Robinson" with my brothers and sister.  We would set up camp and gather "food", then battle pirates.  I miss those days .
6. I fell in love with the first and only guy I ever dated.  We have been married for close to 8 years!
7. I grew up in the west and I can't stand country western music.
8. If I'm having a bad day I walk to the ocean. It is the most soothing place ever. 
9. I adore coffee. 
10. Buffalo meat makes the best burger.
11. I detest shoe shopping.  I would live in bare feet if I could.
